News & Links £738.50 Raised for Help for Heroes At Enigma Furnishings in Angel Courtyard we hold regular fund raising events for both local and national charities, our most recent was on 30th April for Help for Heroes where with your help we raised an amazing £738.50 and still counting for our Heroes.
So what is Help for Heroes ? Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. "It’s about the ·blokes·, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.
Great fun was had by all that attended the Fun Day and special thanks to all who donated, baked cakes for our Cake Sale gave a hand and spent time in the Courtyard.

Our Carbon Foot Print
At Enigma Furnishings we have been considering how to reduce our carbon footprint. With the recent premises move to 1 Angel Courtyard we have been able to introduce a number of initiatives that we have implemented to help reduce our footprint. These have included insulating the roof spaces, the replacement of old windows, opening and re instatement of the original 19th century chimney and incorporation of a modern fuel efficient wood burning stove for our heating requirements and replacement of the air conditioning to a new energy efficient system. We have also taken measures to reduce our direct carbon consumption by the implementation of energy saving light bulbs, not leaving our electronic devices on standby at night and recycling 79% of our waste.
